The volunteer registration process is now closed due to the overwhelming response for community support that will make this event a success.

Registered Volunteer Next Steps

If you are already a registered volunteer and have not yet submitted your Vulnerable Persons Screening form then you must do the following:

• Download, print and complete the Vulnerable Position Screening Application and return it to the Games Office, located at 652 Elizabeth St. London (south of Oxford St.) in person with valid photo identification (driver’s license) and identification that confirms your address (utility bill, second piece of identification).
• Hours of Operation
  • 9:00 am to 4:00 pmMonday to Friday (except government holidays)
• Please note that your photograph will also be taken for accreditation purposes
• Important Note: We have closed our volunteer registration portal and can not take on new registrants. The above process is for prospective volunteers that have already registered.

Orientation for Assigned Volunteers

Volunteers who have been contacted and assigned to a committee for the 2010 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games are required to attend a mandatory volunteer orientation session.

• Choose one of two sessions: Tuesday, June 22nd from 7-8:30 pm or Thursday, June 24th from 7-8:30 pm
• Come to the front doors of T Building at Fanshawe College and you will be directed to registration in the atrium and to an orientation presentation in room T1003
• Volunteers will receive an orientation package including shirt, accreditation badge and volunteer handbook
• Free Parking: Tuesday’s session—Fanshawe lots 10&11, Thursday’s session—Fanshawe lots 5&6
